About

Buro-kunha-To is a duo of Eclectic individuals that grew up in the San Fernando Valley. They have grown together as close friends with a common love of music, art and creativity. Buro-Kunha-to, which means broken heart in Japanese, was founded by self taught artists Debbie and Eugene in 2007.

Eugene is an Illustrator, painter, accessory designer. Her styles range from Japanese Anime to Rockabilly to El Dia De Los Muertos. She has been a huge fan of Japanese Anime from a very young age, which is a big inspiration for her now and while growing up. Her fond love of this genre along with the love of woman makes her a unique individual.

Debbie is a Graphic Designer and Painter, who is influenced by Graffiti Art, Mexican Folk Art (El Dia De Los Muetos) anything that is morbid and not the “norm”. As a kid she was and still is a music fanatic, which has guided her to express herself through painting.
